U-Blot® Pan-2-Hydroxyisobutyryllysine Mouse mAb is a monoclonal antibody raised in Mouse that specifically recognizes 2-Hydroxyisobutyryllysine (Lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation [Lys(K)]). It is designed for detection and analysis of the Lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation [Lys(K)] post-translational modification across research applications.
2-Hydroxyisobutyryllysine (Khib) is a novel lysine acylation type of post-translational modification identified on both histone and non-histone proteins. By adding a 2-hydroxyisobutyryl group to lysine residues, Khib participates in the regulation of chromatin structure, gene transcription activation, cellular metabolism, and stress responses. Accumulating evidence indicates that Khib plays critical roles in tumorigenesis, metabolic reprogramming, inflammation, and various disease processes, making it an important target in epigenetic and protein modification research.
