U-Blot® Pan-Di-Methyllysine Rabbit mAb is a monoclonal antibody raised in Rabbit that specifically detects Di-Methyllysine (Lysine di-methylation [ε-amino group (Nε) of the lysine (Lys, K) side chain]). Validated for Western Blot, it recognizes the Lysine di-methylation [ε-amino group (Nε) of the lysine (Lys, K) side chain] modification with reactivity to multiple species. Supplied unconjugated for post-translational modification research.

    Product Overview

U-Blot® Pan-Di-Methyllysine Rabbit mAb is a monoclonal antibody raised in Rabbit that specifically recognizes Di-Methyllysine (Lysine di-methylation [ε-amino group (Nε) of the lysine (Lys, K) side chain]). It is designed for detection and analysis of the Lysine di-methylation [ε-amino group (Nε) of the lysine (Lys, K) side chain] post-translational modification across research applications.

Di-Methyllysine (Kme2) is a crucial reversible post-translational modification of proteins, which occurs on the ε-amino group of lysine residues, including symmetric and asymmetric dimethylation forms. It is widely distributed in histones and non-histone proteins, and participates in regulating chromatin remodeling, gene transcription, RNA splicing, DNA damage repair, cell cycle progression and signal transduction. Aberrant lysine dimethylation is closely associated with tumorigenesis, inflammation, neurodegeneration and metabolic disorders, serving as a vital biomarker for epigenetic and pathological research.

Which applications is this antibody validated for?

It is validated for Western Blot. Recommended dilutions: application-dependent (see datasheet).

    What is the recommended dilution?

Use application-dependent (see datasheet). Optimal dilution should be determined empirically for your sample and detection system.

What species reactivity does it have?

This is a pan-modification antibody recognizing Di-Methyllysine (Lysine di-methylation [ε-amino group (Nε) of the lysine (Lys, K) side chain]); reactivity: multiple species.

    What was the immunogen?

The monoclonal antibody (Rabbit host) was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the modified residue.

    Is a conjugated format available?

This product is supplied unconjugated. Contact BioHippo for custom conjugation or format options.

    How should it be stored?

Store at -20°C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
