U-Blot® Pan-Succinyllysine Rabbit pAb is a polyclonal antibody raised in Rabbit that specifically recognizes Succinyllysine (Lysine acylation [Lys(K)]). It is designed for detection and analysis of the Lysine acylation [Lys(K)] post-translational modification across research applications.
Succinyllysine (abbreviated as Ksucc) is an acylation-type post-translational modification occurring on lysine residues of proteins. By covalently attaching a succinyl group to the side chain of lysine, this modification markedly alters the charge and physicochemical properties of amino acid residues. Ksucc is widely distributed on both histone and non-histone proteins, and is critically involved in chromatin remodeling, gene transcription, energy metabolism, and mitochondrial function. It plays important regulatory roles in various pathological processes including cancer, metabolic diseases, and inflammatory responses, serving as a key target in the crosstalk between metabolism and epigenetics.
