Product Overview
1 kb DNA Ladder (1 kb Ladder DNA Marker) is composed of 8 kinds of DNA fragments with a length of 1,000 bp to 10,000 bp, dissolved in 1× Loading Buffer, and can be loaded directly, 5–10 µL per well, with no further preparation.
The eight fragments are 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 8,000 and 10,000 bp. The 4,000 bp reference band contains 100 ng per 5 µL and every other band contains 50 ng per 5 µL. The marker is ready to use and needs no added loading buffer. A gel concentration of 1%–2% agarose is recommended, and the loading volume is increased when the sample well is wider than 5 mm.

Usage Notes
- Load 5 µL per run when the sample well is narrower than 5 mm; increase the volume for wider wells.
- Agarose purity strongly affects the clarity of DNA bands, so the best quality agarose should be used.
- The recommended gel concentration is 1%–2%.
- Higher agarose concentration improves separation of short DNA fragments, while lower concentration favours separation of long fragments.
