Compound Overview
15-deoxy-Δ12,14-Prostaglandin D2 (15-Deoxy-Δ12,14-PGD2), a metabolite of PGD2, is an agonist of the prostaglandin receptor DP2. It binds DP2 with a Ki of 50 nM and induces eosinophil activation with an EC50 of 8 nM, and it stimulates recruitment of steroid receptor coactivator-1 (SRC-1) to peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), driving PPARγ-mediated transcription. It is cytotoxic to L1210 murine leukemia cells (IC50 = 0.3 μg/mL) and inhibits ADP-induced platelet aggregation (IC50 = 320 ng/mL). It is supplied as a colorless to light yellow liquid (C20H30O4, MW 334.45) at 98.0% purity.
