Product Overview
The fluorescence signal of SYBR Green Dye combined with dsDNA can be enhanced 800-1000 times. In the PCR reaction system, an excess of SYBR Green Dye fluorescent dye is added. After it binds the double-stranded DNA product, the fluorescent signal is enhanced, while unbound dye molecules remain weakly fluorescent, thereby ensuring that the fluorescence signal increase is completely synchronized with the increase of PCR products. Fluorescence can be measured in the annealing stage or the extension stage.
The product is a single-component 20× concentrated dye solution for fluorescent qPCR detection. The final working concentration is 0.2×–1×, typically 0.5×, obtained by diluting the concentrate 20–100 times; 0.5–2.5 µL of the 20× concentrate is added to a 50 µL PCR reaction and the concentration is optimized for each application.

Applications
- Fluorescent quantitative PCR detection
- Real-time monitoring of double-stranded DNA accumulation during PCR
Storage & Handling
Transport at room temperature, long-term storage at -20°C, avoid repeated freezing and thawing. It can be placed at 4°C for short-term use. Shipping: Transport at room temperature.
Usage Notes
- Optimize the dye concentration; concentrations that are too low give a weak signal and concentrations that are too high inhibit PCR.
- Set the magnesium ion concentration 0.5–3 mM higher than in standard PCR.
- ROX calibration is required on certain instruments, for example ABI systems.
- Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Safety & Regulatory
For research use only. Not intended for clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic use. Follow the manufacturer's manual and standard laboratory safety practice.
