Compound Overview
3'-Beta-C-Ethynyl-5-methoxyuridine is a member of the purine nucleoside analog family. Purine nucleoside analogs generally display broad antitumor activity against indolent lymphoid malignancies, acting via mechanisms including inhibition of DNA synthesis and induction of apoptosis, among others[1]. It is also a click chemistry reagent, bearing an alkyne group that can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with azide-containing molecules. It has a molecular formula of C12H14N2O7 and a molecular weight of 298.25 g/mol.
