A-803467 is a selective blocker of Nav1.8 sodium channels, which are predominantly expressed in peripheral sensory neurons. It effectively reduces thermal hyperalgesia and mechanical allodynia in models of inflammatory and neuropathic pain. In neuroscience, A-803467 is used to study pain signaling pathways and the role of Nav1.8 in sensory neuron excitability and chronic pain conditions.
