Overview
ACE2 Antibody / Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2 is an antibody targeting ACE2. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: ACE2/7203. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: ACE2.
- Immunogen: A recombinant partial protein sequence (within amino acids 1-300) from the human protein was used as the immunogen for….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell membrane, Secreted.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Carboxypeptidase which converts angiotensin I to angiotensin 1-9, a peptide of unknown function, and angiotensin II toangiotensin 1-7, a vasodilator. Also able to hydrolyze apelin-13 and dynorphin-13 with high efficiency. By cleavage ofangiotensin II, may be an important regulator of heart function.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
