Concentration Assay Kit

Amino acids often need to be quantified in buffers and biochemical samples. This kit measures amino acids from micromolar to millimolar concentrations with a single dye reagent.

Kit Components

Component AAK1000
10 x Dye C53 1 ml

Enough for 1000 assays in 384-well plates or 250 assays in 96-well plates; cuvettes may also be used.

Assay Principle

Amino acids interact with dye C53 and increase its fluorescence at 535 nm (excitation 485 nm). Concentrations are calculated from a linear standard curve prepared with the amino acid of interest.
