Product Overview

Clone 22A86 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ATP-binding cassette sub-family E member 1 (gene ABCE1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 67.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 67 kDa.

ABCE1 is a highly conserved ATPase that recycles ribosomes by splitting them into large and small subunits after translation ends or when ribosomes stall. It also takes part in translation initiation and is essential for cell viability, so it is studied in protein synthesis and quality control.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ATP-binding cassette sub-family E member 1 in the cytoplasm and mitochondrion. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
