Product Overview
Clone CHH-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ATP-binding cassette sub-family G member 1 (gene ABCG1) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 75.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 110 kDa.
ABCG1 is an ATP-driven transporter that exports cholesterol, oxysterols and sphingomyelin from cells, notably macrophages, to high-density lipoprotein (HDL). It helps prevent cholesterol overload in cells and is studied in reverse cholesterol transport and atherosclerosis.
