Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets abl interactor 2 (gene ABI2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 55.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 56–70 kDa.
Abl interactor 2 (ABI2) is a component of the WAVE complex, which activates the Arp2/3 complex to build lamellipodia. It is both a regulator and a substrate of ABL tyrosine kinases and is studied in cell motility, adhesion and neuronal development.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human K562 cells, human HeLa cells, human SH-SH5Y cells, human 293T cells, rat brain tissue, rat PC-12 cells, mouse brain tissue, mouse Neuro-2a cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse brain, rat brain.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): SH-SY5Y cells.

Recombinant human ABI2 fragment (His151–Asp400), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places abl interactor 2 in the cytoplasm, nucleus and SUBCELLULAR LOCATION:. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
