Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects complex I assembly factor ACAD9, mitochondrial in human and monkey samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 68.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 65 kDa.
ACAD9 is a mitochondrial acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family member that serves mainly as an assembly factor for respiratory complex I, together with NDUFAF1 and ECSIT. Mutations in ACAD9 cause complex I deficiency, and it is studied in mitochondrial energy production.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human K562 cells, human MCF-7 cells, monkey COS-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human ACAD9 fragment (Gln110–Asp595), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and monkey. UniProt places complex I assembly factor ACAD9, mitochondrial in the mitochondrion inner membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed in most normal human tissues and cancer cell lines with higher levels in heart, skeletal muscles, and the central nervous system (where it is the highest expressed ACAD). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
