Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets angiotensin-converting enzyme (gene ACE) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is a zinc peptidase that cleaves angiotensin I to the vasoconstrictor angiotensin II and inactivates bradykinin. This makes it a key regulator of blood pressure and fluid balance, and it is the target of ACE inhibitor drugs.

Immunogen
Recombinant human ACE fragment (Arg149–Cys545), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 90.4% and 91.4%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places angiotensin-converting enzyme in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels in lung, kidney, heart, gastrointestinal system and prostate...
