Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects outer membrane protein Omp38 in Acinetobacter baumannii and viral/pathogen samples.
In the bacterium Acinetobacter baumannii, Omp38 (also called OmpA) is a major outer membrane porin that also binds peptidoglycan and helps maintain the cell envelope. It is a well-studied virulence factor: purified Omp38 can enter human cells, target mitochondria and trigger apoptosis.
