Product Overview
Clone C-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes actin, alpha skeletal muscle (gene ACTA1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 42.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 42 kDa.
Skeletal muscle alpha-actin (ACTA1) is the main actin isoform in the thin filaments of adult skeletal muscle. It interacts with myosin to generate contraction, and mutations in ACTA1 cause congenital myopathies such as nemaline myopathy.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): A431 cells, MCF-7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse muscle tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.

Reactivity Notes
