Product Overview
Clone AAII-16 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes perilipin-2 (gene PLIN2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 48.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 48 kDa.
Perilipin-2 (also called adipophilin or ADRP) is a lipid droplet coat protein found in many cell types. It supports the formation and stability of lipid droplets and is widely used as a marker of lipid accumulation in liver, muscle and macrophage studies.
