Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects adhesion G protein-coupled receptor G1 (gene Adgrg1) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 77.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 78 kDa.
In mouse, Adgrg1 (GPR56) is an adhesion G protein-coupled receptor that signals through G12/13 and RhoA. It is important for brain cortex development and myelination, and in humans its loss causes a brain malformation called polymicrogyria.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Mouse, Rat) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Mouse) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat brain tissue, rat heart tissue, rat C6 cells, mouse brain tissue, mosue heart tissue, mouse Neuro-2a cells, mouse C2C12 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): RAW264.7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse Adgrg1 fragment (Glu53–Ser554), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. UniProt places adhesion G protein-coupled receptor G1 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Expressed in neural progenitor cells in fetal forbrain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
