Product Overview
Clone 29A57 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes adenylosuccinate synthetase isozyme 2 (gene ADSS2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 50.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
Adenylosuccinate synthetase 2 (ADSS2) converts IMP to adenylosuccinate, the first committed step toward AMP. It serves both the de novo and salvage routes of purine nucleotide production, so it is studied in nucleotide metabolism, cell proliferation and cellular energy balance.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human adSS 2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places adenylosuccinate synthetase isozyme 2 in the cytoplasm and mitochondrion. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
