This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects versican core protein (gene vcan) in african clawed frog samples.
Versican is a large chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan of the extracellular matrix. It binds hyaluronan and helps organize the matrix around cells, influencing cell adhesion, migration and proliferation. Versican is studied in development, vascular biology, inflammation and tumor microenvironment research.
