Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes CTL4 (gene 1276043) in african malaria mosquito samples.
In Anopheles gambiae, CTL4 is a secreted C-type lectin that pairs with CTLMA2 in the mosquito hemolymph. Loss of CTL4 leads to strong melanization of invading Plasmodium ookinetes, so the protein is a well-known model for how mosquito immune regulators shape parasite development.
