Product Overview
Clone AOGD-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes type-1 angiotensin II receptor (gene AGTR1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 41.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
The angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R, AGTR1) is a G protein-coupled receptor that mediates most known actions of angiotensin II. Through Gq and phospholipase C it raises intracellular Ca2+ and drives vasoconstriction, aldosterone release and sodium retention, and it is the target of angiotensin receptor blocker drugs used in hypertension research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells, PC-12 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human AGTR1.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places type-1 angiotensin II receptor in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Liver, lung, adrenal and adrenocortical adenomas. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
