Product Overview
Clone 22A97 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes activator of 90 kDa heat shock protein ATPase homolog 1 (gene AHSA1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 38.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 43 kDa.
AHSA1 (Aha1) is a co-chaperone of HSP90 that stimulates its ATPase activity and so speeds the chaperone cycle. It competes with inhibitory co-chaperones such as FNIP1 and TSC1 for HSP90 binding, helping to fine-tune folding and maturation of HSP90 client proteins.
