Product Overview
Clone 21A00 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes alpha-actinin-2 (gene ACTN2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 103.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 103 kDa.
Alpha-actinin-2 (ACTN2) is the main alpha-actinin of cardiac and skeletal muscle. It cross-links actin filaments at the Z-disc and anchors the sarcomere, and variants in ACTN2 are associated with cardiomyopathies.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human skeletal muscle.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human alpha actinin 2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places alpha-actinin-2 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in both skeletal and cardiac muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
