Product Overview
Clone 25N48 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes alpha-soluble NSF attachment protein (gene NAPA) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 33.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 33 kDa.
α-SNAP (NAPA) is a soluble adaptor that binds assembled SNARE complexes and recruits the ATPase NSF, which disassembles SNAREs after membrane fusion so they can be reused. It is therefore needed for ongoing vesicle traffic, including ER-to-Golgi transport and regulated exocytosis.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human alpha SNAP.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places alpha-soluble NSF attachment protein in the cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
