Product Overview
Anti-Alphaherpesviruses gB Broad-Neutralizing Recombinant Antibody (16F9) is a mouse recombinant monoclonal antibody directed against envelope glycoprotein B (gB), the most conserved entry glycoprotein of the alphaherpesvirus subfamily. Clone 16F9 exhibits broad neutralizing reactivity across human and veterinary alphaherpesviruses, including HSV-1, HSV-2, VZV, pseudorabies virus, and bovine, caprine, canine, feline, and macacine herpesviruses, making it a versatile tool for cross-species herpesvirus research. The antibody is purified by Protein A/G from cell culture supernatant to >95% purity and supplied in liquid PBS.
Validated Applications
| Application | ELISA, SPR, IF, FCM |
|---|---|
| Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:2000–1:20000 |
Optimal working dilutions should be determined empirically for each application and sample type.
Reactivity Notes
Reported cross-reactivity spans eleven alphaherpesviruses: Human herpesvirus 1 (HHV-1) (Human herpes simplex virus 1) (HSV-1), Human herpesvirus 2 (HHV-2) (Human herpes simplex virus 2) (HSV-2), Human herpesvirus 3 (HHV-3) (Varicella-zoster virus) (VZV), Suid alphaherpesvirus 1 (Pseudorabies virus) (SuHV-1) (PRV), Bovine alphaherpesvirus 1 (Bovine herpesvirus 1) (BHV-1), Bovine alphaherpesvirus 2 (Bovine herpesvirus 2) (BHV-2), Bovine alphaherpesvirus 5 (Bovine herpesvirus 5) (BHV-5), Caprine alphaherpesvirus 1 (Caprine herpesvirus 1) (CpHV-1), Canine alphaherpesvirus 1 (Canine herpesvirus 1) (CHV-1), Felid alphaherpesvirus 1 (Feline herpesvirus 1) (FHV-1), Macacine alphaherpesvirus 1 (Herpes B virus) (Monkey B virus) (BV) (McHV-1).
