Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 1 (gene ANKRD1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
ANKRD1 (also called CARP) is an ankyrin repeat protein expressed mainly in heart and skeletal muscle. It shuttles between the sarcomere and the nucleus, where it can act as a transcriptional co-regulator of cardiac genes, and its expression rises with muscle stress and injury.

Immunogen
Recombinant human ANKRD1 fragment (Asp120–Phe319), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 93.5% and 95%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Mainly expressed in activated vascular endothelial cells.
