Product Overview
Clone 17A34 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ubiquitin-like protein ATG12 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 15.1 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 22, 55 kDa.
ATG12 is a ubiquitin-like protein that is covalently joined to ATG5 by the enzymes ATG7 and ATG10. The resulting ATG12-ATG5 conjugate, together with ATG16L1, promotes lipidation of LC3 family proteins and is essential for autophagosome formation.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human apg12(Atg12).
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ubiquitin-like protein ATG12 in the cytoplasm and preautophagosomal structure membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitous.
