Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets gamma-secretase subunit APH-1A (gene APH1A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry.
APH1A is a non-catalytic subunit of γ-secretase, the intramembrane protease complex that also contains presenilin, nicastrin and PEN-2. It is needed for complex assembly and stability, and γ-secretase cleaves substrates such as Notch receptors and the amyloid precursor protein, so APH1A is studied in Notch signaling and Alzheimer's disease.

Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human APH1A. The peptide sequence is conserved in mouse.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places gamma-secretase subunit APH-1A in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and Golgi apparatus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed.
