Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets amyloid beta precursor like protein 2 (gene APLP2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 87.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 100–110 kDa.
Amyloid beta precursor-like protein 2 (APLP2) is a widely expressed membrane protein of the APP family. It undergoes secretase processing similar to APP, and its secreted form contains a Kunitz-type domain that can inhibit serine proteases such as trypsin and several coagulation factors. APLP2 is studied alongside APP in neural development, protease regulation and hemostasis.

Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): HeLa cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human APLP2 fragment (Lys58–Arg670), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places amyloid beta precursor like protein 2 in the cell membrane and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in placenta, brain, heart, lung, liver, kidney and endothelial tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
