Product Overview
Clone 23A82 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes apolipoprotein A-IV (gene APOA4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 45.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
Apolipoprotein A-IV (APOA4) is made mainly by the small intestine and packaged into chylomicrons after fat absorption. It is thought to take part in the secretion and processing of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins, helps ApoC-II activate lipoprotein lipase and can activate LCAT, so it is studied in dietary lipid absorption and lipid metabolism.
