Product Overview
Clone AOIH-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes apolipoprotein B-100 (gene APOB) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 515.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 515 kDa.
Apolipoprotein B (APOB) is the core structural protein of atherogenic lipoproteins. The full-length form, apo B-100, is made in the liver and found on VLDL and LDL, where it serves as the ligand for the LDL receptor, while the shorter apo B-48 is made in the intestine for chylomicrons. APOB is a central marker in cholesterol and cardiovascular research.
