Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects nucleolar protein 3 (gene NOL3) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 22.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 27 kDa.
NOL3 (also called ARC, apoptosis repressor with CARD) is a caspase recruitment domain protein abundant in heart and skeletal muscle. It inhibits both death receptor and mitochondrial apoptosis, for example by blocking FAS–FADD complex assembly and caspase-8 activation. It is studied in cardiomyocyte survival, ischemic injury and cancer cell resistance to death.
