Product Overview
Clone 18A86 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes DCC-interacting protein 13-alpha (gene APPL1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 79.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 85 kDa.
APPL1 (adaptor protein, phosphotyrosine interacting with PH domain and leucine zipper 1) is an adaptor located on a subset of early endosomes. It binds membrane receptors and signaling proteins, including the adiponectin receptors and AKT, and is studied in insulin and adiponectin signaling, endosomal trafficking and cell proliferation.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places DCC-interacting protein 13-alpha in the early endosome membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm and endosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): High levels in heart, ovary, pancreas and skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
