Product Overview
Clone GFA-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (gene ARF1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 20.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 18 kDa.
ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1) is a small GTPase that controls vesicle traffic at the Golgi apparatus. In its GTP-bound form it recruits coat proteins such as COPI and clathrin adaptors to membranes, driving vesicle budding, and it is a key subject in studies of secretory pathway organization.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human THP-1 cells, human PC-3 cells, human K562 cells, rat small intestines tissue, rat PC-12 cells, mouse small intestines tissue, mouse RAW264.7 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 12% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:1000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colon tissue, human colon cancer tissue, human thyroid cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
