Product Overview
Clone 25A60 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes arginase-2, mitochondrial (gene ARG2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 38.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 39 kDa.
Arginase-2 (ARG2) is a mitochondrial arginase that converts L-arginine into L-ornithine and urea outside the liver urea cycle. It is found in kidney and other tissues, where it supports ornithine production and can limit nitric oxide synthesis by competing for arginine.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human arg2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places arginase-2, mitochondrial in the mitochondrion. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed most strongly in kidney and prostate, much less strongly in the brain, skeletal muscle, placenta, lung, mammary gland, macrophage, uterus, testis and gut, but apparently not in the liver, heart and pancreas.
