Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 13B (gene ARL13B) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 48.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 13B (ARL13B) is a small GTPase concentrated in primary cilia. It helps maintain the structure of the ciliary axoneme, regulates ciliary protein traffic and Sonic hedgehog signaling, and mutations in ARL13B cause Joubert syndrome, so it is a common cilia marker in research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue, human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue, human gastric carcinoma tissue, human testicular cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human ARL13B fragment (Arg16–Ser428), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 13B in the cell projection, cell membrane and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in the developing brain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
