Product Overview
Clone 24A97 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes actin-related protein 2 (gene ACTR2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 44.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
Actin-related protein 2 (ACTR2, Arp2) is an ATP-binding core subunit of the Arp2/3 complex. When activated by nucleation-promoting factors such as WASP and WAVE, the complex starts new actin filaments as branches on existing ones, building the networks that push lamellipodia forward during cell migration.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HUVEC cells, human HeLa cells, human Jurkat cells, human MCF-7 cells, rat kidney tissue, rat C6 cells, mouse kidney tissue, mouse Neuro-2a cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
