Product Overview
Clone 18A44 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes actin-related protein 3 (gene ACTR3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 47.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 47 kDa.
Actin-related protein 3 (ACTR3, Arp3) pairs with Arp2 at the core of the Arp2/3 complex. Once activated, the complex creates new actin branches from existing filaments, providing force for lamellipodia, endocytosis and cell migration.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human arp3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places actin-related protein 3 in the cytoplasm, cell projection and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
