Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets achaete-scute homolog 1 (gene ASCL1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry.
Achaete-scute homolog 1 (ASCL1, also called MASH1) is a bHLH transcription factor that drives neuronal differentiation. Acting as a pioneer factor, it can open closed chromatin to activate neuronal genes, which is why it is used in direct reprogramming of fibroblasts into neurons and studied in neuroendocrine tumors.
