Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects polycomb group protein ASXL1 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 165.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 165 kDa.
ASXL1 is a chromatin-associated protein of the Polycomb group family. It partners with BAP1 in the PR-DUB complex, which removes ubiquitin from histone H2A, and it also modulates nuclear receptor signaling. ASXL1 mutations are common in myeloid malignancies, so it is a frequent subject of hematology research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human COLO-32 cells, human Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): SiHa cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human ASXL1 fragment (Ala14–Arg1541), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places polycomb group protein ASXL1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed at low level. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
