Product Overview
Clone 21A07 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ATPase family AAA domain-containing protein 2 (gene ATAD2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 158.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 180 kDa.
ATAD2 is a nuclear protein that combines an AAA+ ATPase domain with a bromodomain that recognizes acetylated histones. It acts as a transcriptional coactivator, including for estrogen receptor target genes, and it is frequently overexpressed in cancers, where it is studied in chromatin regulation and cell proliferation.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human ATAD2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ATPase family AAA domain-containing protein 2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in estrogen receptor positive breast tumors and in osteosarcoma tumors.
