Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-1 (gene ATF1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 29.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
Cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-1 (ATF1) is a bZIP transcription factor closely related to CREB. It binds cAMP response elements (CRE) in gene promoters and is activated by phosphorylation, and ATF1 fusion genes are found in tumors such as clear cell sarcoma and angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human A431 cells, human SiHa cells, rat testis tissue, mouse testis tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human ATF1 fragment (Met1–Val271), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 91%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-1 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
