Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-5 (gene ATF5) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-5 (ATF5) is a bZIP transcription factor of the ATF/CREB family. It regulates genes involved in cell survival and differentiation and has a well-studied role in the mitochondrial unfolded protein response, as well as in neural progenitor cells and some cancers.

Immunogen
Recombinant human ATF5 fragment (Leu11–Arg275), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 86.5% and 87.2%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-5 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed with higher expression levels in liver.
