Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ubiquitin-like modifier-activating enzyme ATG7 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
ATG7 is the E1-like activating enzyme of both ubiquitin-like conjugation systems in autophagy. It activates ATG12 for transfer to ATG5 and activates LC3 family proteins for transfer to ATG3, making it essential for autophagosome formation and a common target in autophagy knockout studies.

The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ubiquitin-like modifier-activating enzyme ATG7 in the cytoplasm and preautophagosomal structure. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed, especially in kidney, liver, lymph nodes and bone marrow.
