Product Overview
Clone FCA-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes ubiquitin-like modifier-activating enzyme ATG7 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 78.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 78 kDa.
ATG7 is the E1-like activating enzyme of both ubiquitin-like conjugation systems in autophagy. It activates ATG12 for transfer to ATG5 and activates LC3 family proteins for transfer to ATG3, making it essential for autophagosome formation and a common target in autophagy knockout studies.
