Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes atlastin-1 (gene ATL1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Atlastin-1 (ATL1) is a dynamin-related GTPase anchored in the ER membrane that fuses endoplasmic reticulum tubules to build the interconnected ER network. It is highly expressed in the nervous system, and mutations in ATL1 cause hereditary spastic paraplegia (SPG3A).

Immunogen
Recombinant human ATL1 fragment (Glu24–Gln552), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 97.5% and 98.3%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places atlastin-1 in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, Golgi apparatus membrane and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed predominantly in the adult and fetal central nervous system.
