Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ATP synthase F(1) complex subunit alpha, mitochondrial (gene ATP5F1A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 59.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 54 kDa.
ATP5F1A is the α subunit of the F1 catalytic head of mitochondrial ATP synthase (complex V). Three α and three β subunits form the ring in which ATP is made from ADP and phosphate, powered by the proton gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places ATP synthase F(1) complex subunit alpha, mitochondrial in the mitochondrion, mitochondrion inner membrane and cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Fetal lung, heart, liver, gut and kidney. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
