Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes copper-transporting ATPase 1 (gene ATP7A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot.
ATP7A is a copper-transporting P-type ATPase that moves copper into the secretory pathway for loading onto copper-dependent enzymes and pumps excess copper out of cells. It is needed for intestinal copper absorption, and mutations cause Menkes disease.

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide from the C-terminal region of human ATP7A.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places copper-transporting ATPase 1 in the cell membrane, melanosome membrane, early endosome membrane and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed including in heart, brain, lung, muscle, kidney, pancreas, and to a lesser extent placenta.
